Pops began as an informal group of outdoor painters from Winston-Salem and Greensboro, North Carolina. We enjoyed painting together so much, that we decided to form an official group and start to exhibit our work together. We have been going strong for the past 10 years!

In the fall of this year we began preparing for a series of shows in conjunction with the Piedmont Land Conservancy. We are busy painting properties that are protected by the PLC, preserving them in paintings. You can view the schedule for these exhibitions on our Upcoming Exhibits page.



We invite other artists to paint with us when our location for that day's painting trip is a public place with plenty of parking for anyone who might show up to paint. We usually take a break from outdoor painting from Mid- November until about Mid-March, but if you would like to join us beginning in the Spring, check our Paint-Out Schedule on this site to see where we'll be painting and if it is an "open" paint-out.
