Piedmont Outdoor Painting Society

Arlene Daniel

I’ve been painting for about 20 years. I strive to make my studio work have the same freshness and vitality as my plein-air work does. My work has been included in International, National and Local Shows and has been published in the International Artist Magazine. My work is included in many cooperate and private collections in the US and abroad.  I’ve taught classes and workshops locally.

Painting out in nature is truly inspiring and humbling.  I love the challenge of the every changing lighting conditions and how they affect everything.  Mother Nature is an awesome teacher, you learn color relationships and how different lighting conditions change them.  I feel privileged to paint with a group of women who share my love for plein-air painting.
